I recently graduated from LaunchCode’s Web Development Program, where I gained hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, and full-stack development. Throughout my training, I worked on real-world projects, honing my skills in front-end and back-end development while collaborating with a team to solve coding challenges.
One of my standout projects is Chaptr, a web application designed to help users save books to a personal list and compare selections with other members, making it easier to discover shared reads. This project allowed me to apply my knowledge of React, Java, and Spring Boot, while also focusing on user experience and responsive design.
I developed the React front end, integrating the Google Books API for dynamic book search results and connecting it to a Spring Boot backend for seamless book storage and retrieval. I focused on responsive design, styling the app with CSS, including a dark mode feature for accessibility. Using Figma, I created wireframes to refine the user experience and designed the Chaptr logo in InDesign.

Philadelphia Medcare – Healthcare Website Development
I designed and developed a responsive website for Philadelphia Medcare, a healthcare business that previously had no web presence. The goal was to create a visually engaging and user-friendly platform that reflected the professionalism and care of their practice.
Using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I built a modern, fully responsive website that provides a seamless experience across devices. To enhance engagement, I integrated a contact form, making it easier for patients to reach out and schedule appointments. Additionally, I designed a custom logo in InDesign, ensuring a cohesive and professional brand identity.
Throughout the project, I managed client communication, gathering requirements, iterating based on feedback, and delivering a website tailored to their needs. This project reinforced my ability to develop functional, aesthetic web solutions while collaborating with clients to bring their vision to life.
